Q: How much is overnight parking?

A: Overnight parking is US$9.00.

Q: How much is the Passenger Service Fees?

A: Passenger Service Fees are US$53.50.

Q: How much are the Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) Fees?

A: The PACT Fees are US$20.00.

Q: How can flight information be accessed?

A: Flight information can be found on the Flight Information Display System monitors in each Terminal or by contacting your airline directly or by calling (501) 225 – 2045.

Q: Does size matter for air shipment?

A: Yes, air freight may be based on volume or size. Contact your shipper for additional information.

Q: Is public transportation available from the PGIA to downtown Belize City?

A: Yes.  Taxicabs are available and can be found outside the Airport Terminal Building during normal operating hours.

Q: How early should I arrive before my flight?

A: Passengers are expected to arrive at least 3 hours prior to the time of scheduled departure.

Q: Does the airport offer Wireless Internet access?

A: Yes.  PGIA offers free Wireless Internet access to passengers.

Q: What is the cost per day for parking a car?

A: The cost per day for parking a car is US$2.00.

Q: Is TSA Pre-Check available at the PGIA?

A: No.

Q: Does the PGIA have a lost and found?

A: Yes.  Items that are left or found in the Terminals are turned over to our Security Office.  Hours of operations are from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  You may call 501 – 225 – 2045, Ext. 171.  If an item was lost aboard an aircraft or in the baggage claim area, kindly contact your airline.

Q: Where are the car rental agencies located?

A: The car rental agencies are located across from the Airport Terminal Building at the Rental Services Center.

Q: Can I bring liquids in my carry-on?

A: Yes. Liquids and gels are required to be placed in containers 3 ounces or less and in clear plastic zip-lock bags not larger than 1 quart and permitted in carry-on luggage. Larger quantities must be placed in checked luggage.  Some exceptions are made for baby formula, prescription drugs and medications.

Q: Can I take a laptop or CD player or other electronic hand-held games in my carry-on?

A: Yes, but only after laptops are removed from a passenger’s bag, placed in a plastic bin and screened through the X-ray machine.

Q: Are there weight or size restrictions on carry-on luggage?

A: Yes. Kindly contact your airline for its policy on checked and carry-on luggage or visit the airline’s website.

Q: What does the ‘S.W.’ in Philip S. W. Goldson stand for?

A: The initials are for Stanley Wilberforce.

Q: Is it possible to drop off or pick up a passenger in front of a Terminal?

A: Yes, but only for active loading or unloading.

Q: What security features are in place at the PGIA?

A: Security features in place at the PGIA are those that are normally found at international airports.

Q: Are there signs at the airport?

A: Yes. There are color-coded signs that provide direction to passengers.

Q: Is there a company at the airport that provides airline support services?

A: Yes.  There is a company providing airport support services by the name of Aero Dispatch Services Ltd.  and can be reached at 501 – 225 – 2163.

Q: Can I request the use of a wheelchair at the airport?

A: Yes.  All the airlines do provide wheelchair service upon request.

Q: Is there a limit on how much money a passenger can bring in or take out?

A: Yes. Passengers must declare an amount exceeding US$10,000 when entering or leaving Belize.

Q: Is COVID testing available at the PGIA for passengers departing the country?

A: No, COVID testing is no longer available at the Airport.
