Q: How much is overnight parking?
A: Overnight parking is US$9.00.
Q: How much is the Passenger Service Fees?
A: Passenger Service Fees is US$35.50.
Q: What are the regular methods of freight payment?
A: Most freight payments are done with a Company check. However, you can also pay by wire transfer or with a company’s credit card (subject to administrative fee). Payment is sent right around the time the freight is due to arrive, clear customs and be released.
Q: Where can I find a particular airline, flight # and status?
A: Flight information can be found on the Flight Information Display Systems in each Terminal, by contacting your airline directly or by calling (501) 225 – 2045.
Q: Does size matter for air shipment?
A: Yes, air freight is based on both the actual weight and changeable weight of the cargo during the flight, and this brings some limits in.
Q: Is public transportation available from the PGIA to downtown Belize City?
A: Yes. Taxicabs are available outside the ATB from opening hours.
Q: How early should I arrive before my flight?
A: Passengers are expected to arrive at least 2 to 3 hours prior to scheduled departure of an international flight.
Q: Does the airport offer Wireless Internet access?
A: Yes. PGIA offers free Wireless Internet access to passengers who have a computer with built-in Wi-Fi technology.
Q: What is the cost per day for parking a car?
A: US$2.00 for exit fee.
Q: Is TSA Pre-Check available at the PGIA?
Q: Does the PGIA have a lost and found?
A: Yes. Items that are left or found in the Terminals are turned over to our Security Office at Ext. 171. Hours of operation are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The telephone number is (501) 225 – 2045. If an item was lost aboard an aircraft or baggage claim area, kindly check with your airline.
Q: Where are the car rental agencies?
A: 13 car rental companies are located across from ATB.
Q: Can I bring liquids in my carry-on?
A: Liquids and gels, placed in containers 3.4 ounces or less and in clear plastic zip-lock bags size 1 quart or smaller, are permitted in carry-ons. Larger quantities must be placed in checked luggage. Some exceptions are made for baby formula, prescriptions and medications.
Q: Can I take a laptop or CD player or other electronic hand-held games in my carry-on?
A: Yes, but only after laptops are removed from bag, placed in a plastic bin and sent through the X-ray machine.
Q: Are there weight or size restrictions on carry-ons?
A: Kindly contact your airline for its policy on checked and carry-on luggage or visit the airline’s website.
Q: What does the ‘S.W.’ in Philip S. W. Goldson stand for?
A: The initials stand for Stanley Wilberforce.
Q: Is it possible to drop off or pick up someone in front of a Terminal?
A: Yes, but only for active loading or unloading.
Q: What security features are in place at the PGIA?
A: Passengers can expect baggage and vehicles to be searched; unattended items removed; suspicious activities dealt with; removal of shoes, jackets, belts, watches, electronic items as passengers are screened; the prohibition of explosive and hazardous materials; and presence of personnel from Belize’s Police, Customs, Health and Immigration Departments.

Q: Are there signs at the airport?
A: Yes. Hanging signs and a color code system provide information, directing passengers to various locations and services.
Q: Is there a ground handling service at the airport?
A: Yes. Aero Dispatch Services Ltd. is the authorized agent for ground handling services and can be reached at 501 – 225 – 2163.
Q: Can I request the use of a wheelchair at the airport?
A: Yes. All the airlines provide wheelchair service upon request.
Q: Is there a limit on how much money a passenger can bring in or take out?
A: Passengers must declare an amount exceeding US$10,000 when entering or leaving Belize.
