Tourist Information

The Belize Tourist Board operates an information desk in the Arrival Hall of the Airport. Tourists and other visitors to Belize can get general information on accommodations, recreation, banking, etc. You may also obtain information by visiting www.belizetourism.org.

Departure Fees

Airport Departure Fees are generally included in the airline ticket. Where it is not included in the ticket price, passengers must pay upon departing Departure Fees, US $35.00, are payable in US dollars by Non Belizean Residents. For Belizean Residents the fee is Bze $32.50. A Security Fee of US 1.25 is charged for Domestic Screening.

Porter Service

Porter service is available in the Arrival Hall and Terminals 1 and 2 of the airport.  Porters are easily recognized in their blue and white uniforms and are available to assist passengers with their luggage.  Porters are an independent union and are not employed directly by the Airport.  Porters are generally compensated for their services.

Smoking Policy

The Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport was designated as a non-smoking airport in 2003.  Smoking is only permitted outside the Terminal Buildings.

Lost And Found

Items, lost or found, may be reported to Airport Security.  Airport Security can be contacted at Ext 107 by using any of the courtesy extensions conveniently located throughout the Airport.  Airport Security Personnel are uniformed and easily identifiable.

Police

The Belize Police Department maintains a presence at the Airport.  They provide assistance to the Customs and Immigration Departments, and Airport Security Personnel in the event that the arrest or detention of a passenger is required.
