The Belize Tourist Board operates an information desk in the Arrival Hall of the Airport Terminal Building. Tourists and other visitors to Belize can get general information on accommodations, recreation, banking, etc. You may also obtain information by visiting www.belizetourism.org.
Airport Departure Fees are generally included in the airline ticket. Where it is not included in the ticket price, passengers must pay upon departing Departure Fees of US $35.50, payable in US dollars by Non Belizean Residents. For Belizean Residents the fee is BZ$35.00. A Security Fee of US$0.75 is charged for Domestic Security Screening.
Porter service is available in the Arrival Hall and Terminals 1 and 2 of the airport. Porters are easily recognized in their blue and white uniforms and are available to assist passengers with their luggage. Porters are an independent union and are not employed directly by the Airport. Porters are generally compensated for their services based on posted fees.
The PGIA was designated as a non-smoking airport in 2003. Smoking is only permitted outside the ATB.
Lost And Found
Items, lost or found, may be reported to Airport Security. Airport Security can be contacted at Ext 107 by using any of the courtesy extensions conveniently located throughout the Airport. Airport Security Personnel are uniformed and easily identifiable.
The Belize Police Department maintains a presence at the Airport. They provide assistance to the Customs and Immigration Departments, and Airport Security Personnel in the event that their services are required.
Passengers have access to banking services via Atlantic Bank Limited located in Terminal 2. Automated Teller Machines are located in both Terminals.
The Airport Taxi Union operates the taxi service at PGIA. Service is available for transportation to Belize City as well as other destinations throughout the country. Arrangements can be made for large groups as the Union operates a bus to facilitate such groups.
